TabLogs Log Report building tool uses Templates to manage logs. You can create and save your templates, then apply them automatically across your logs.

TabLogs offers you to either customise this log, or build a template library, below we will go into the details of both options and how you then build your templates

Customise This Log

This feature allows users to custom templates or update log.
Configuration Guidelines
To start simply > turn on toggle keys for the column Name you wanted to display.
Turn off toggle keys > this will hide the Column Name.

Manage Templates features: This feature allows users to add, edit, delete, and set default templates.

Add template
Allows users to enter a unique name for the template they are creating can be (text, numeric) once done simply click Add new Template.
Edit template
Allows user to modify the selected template within the dropdown, once done simply click Add new Template.
Delete template
This will totally delete the template selected by the user once click there will be a pop-up message verifying if user wanted to delete it.
Default template
Allows user to select their default template which will have a dropdown list to select from.
Update/Create New Template
Users can select existing templates to update or choose an option to create a new template. User should click update after modifying templates

What is a Log Configuration

A Log Configuration is a template for what data you would like to store, how you want collect it and how you'd like to visualise. Each log configuration is made up of a series of modules. TabLogs provides pre-configured modules tailored to Geotechnical and Environmental field logging. A log is essentially a GIS point and the configuration determines what field data is recorded.

How Log Configurations Work

TabLogs organizes your work into projects and logs. You can create as many logs as needed within each project, and each log is assigned a specific configuration.

For example, if you're working on a dam project, you can create different logs for various purposes, each with its own configuration that determines the data forms (modules) used for that log.

Creating a new Log Configuration

Go to "Settings" > "Log Configurations", then select "Add Log Configuration."

You'll then be able to choose from one of the predefined Log Configurations with built-in workflows and options. You may use these templates as-is or customize them to meet your specific logging requirements.

TabLogs is a usage based platform, with no additional charge for new users. We've done this knowing our clients have users who will do different amounts of work in our platform, ensuring everyone has their own login details. To create a new user account read on:

Administrators can easily modify the users inside of settings, team. Users can be created/edited and deleted individually, or you can bulk create new users too.

In-Situ Tests Module

TabLogs has a prebuilt in-situ test module, with optimised UI for standard in-situ tests. For all in-situ test you can control:

The graphic used in your log reports
The default sample type, if any, created with each test
If you would like to offer logging of a subsurface profile from inside the

DCP - Users can select a measurement interval in the dropdown menu for DCP testing result
SPT - Users can select an interval based on the SPT result. SPT N can be split into a Label and a Value field, this is controlled via a toggle in Settings/Log Settings/In-Situ Tests
PP - Users can input the depth and PP reading for PP testing result.
UCS - Users can input the depth and UCS reading for UCS testing result.
PSP - Users can input the blow count for PSP testing result.
ASS - Acid sulfate testing samples will automatically be shown here once logged in the Samples tab.
CPT - Users may be able to download a template on CPT testing results tab.
DPSH - Users can select a measurement interval in the dropdown menu for DPSH testing result.
SV - Users need to input the depth, peak, and residual for SV Testing Results
PID - Users need to input depth and PPM for PID testing results.

Corelog Report: Estimated Strength Column

The Estimated Strength Column allows users to graphically display estimated strength and impose IS50 results from both Axial & Diametral Lab Tests.

Have a Lab Test called IS50, any other name will not show
Have the two output columns called Axial & Diametral respectively
Ensure "Add as selectable data to plot bore logs" toggle is on

Water Observations Module

TabLogs lets users document water observations via both the desktop and mobile app. Water Observations can be used in the log report to map data at the required depth. Users can press Add New button to add the water results on the table or may click Bulk Edit to enter multiple results at once. Once data is entered it will display in the summary table
